Jagex is making the staying power a little easier for the next few days as the Double XP event in Runescape is now airing through November 16. And for the first time ever, the event includes a new archaeological skill that will allow you to guide your inner Indiana Jones and dig through the ruins of Orthen.

While the event runs through November 16, you're limited to 48 hours of double XP - so be wise with your AFK skills. Benefits are exclusive to members, although members who play for free will enjoy 20% extra experience points for all available skills.

There are some additional benefits to training your archeology skills at RuneScape's Double XP event:

   ● The base precision is doubled, which means that digging will get you twice as many projects per hour.

   ● Double XP by searching and sifting.

   ● Players will not receive double XP from maps, searches, puzzles, towers, or artifact recovery.

XP Boost cannot gain XP with XP Lamps, Cremation, Auxiliary System, Ectofuntus and many other items and activities. For a full list, check out the official RuneScape website.

RuneScape's latest Double XP event is fully timed - Orthen digsite launched recently, but you have to be a high-ranking archaeologist to explore it. We recommend that you use this time to improve your dirt digging skills, as Orthen seems like a mysterious place worth exploring.
